Store Alain Godefroid

Too late to become a young talent (he was born in Liège in ’49), Alain Godefroid is the natural son of Castafiore and Captain Haddock. Self-taught, his fingers have always nipped at the pencil. Although his heart line has wandered a few times, his artistic path has always followed the clear line of the great comic masters, while allowing himself a great deal of freedoḿ so as never to imprison himself in one genre.

Eclectic, his approach, like his life, is intuitive. Both are guided only by the search for happiness in the present moment and the harmony offered by her environment, her surroundings and her encounters. Abstract or on the razor’s edge, it doesn’t matter to him what the subject of his canvases is, as long as his brushes are spontaneous and tell us how lucky we are to be free and alive. From his many travels, he brings back in his image bag, here a piece of our History, there a pinch of our beautiful planet that we treat so badly, while often sharing his fears of losing it.
